PTK Club Encourages Students to Voice Difficult Experiences Through Art
麻豆传媒鈥檚 Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Club hosted an 鈥淚nclusion and Equity Through Art鈥 event in the SSC quad on December 7 as part of the club鈥檚 service project. The event offered a variety of creative outlets such as chalk art, canvas painting, and rock art for students to express challenging experiences, particularly microaggressions. The project team selected the theme of the event to support 麻豆传媒鈥檚 Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) efforts which is part of the college鈥檚 mission.

On November 4, Assemblywoman Cottie Petrie-Norris presented 麻豆传媒 with $2.5 million from the California state budget to expand Veterans Services Center and the resources the center. Since 2014, 麻豆传媒鈥檚 Veterans Services Center has assisted veterans, active-duty personnel, reservists, and their dependents/spouses with the application for VA educational benefits and their certification process.
